Lighting the Propane Heater in the Lodge
The Lodge has the largest kind of propane heater. There are three of this type: one in the Lodge, one at the main entrance by the back door, and one up in the game room. Same idea as the Addition heater, with the parts in slightly different spots.

Step by step
8 steps
Turn the thermostat on
Every propane heater is connected to a thermostat. Set it to HEAT and turn it up to at least 65–67°F so the burners have enough call to get going.

Remove the front panel
Pull the front panel off and set it aside.

Turn the blue gas valve parallel to the gas line
On this heater the shutoff valve is down low. Turn it so the handle runs parallel to the gas line (open).

Remove the cover from the pilot
Unscrew the small cover over the pilot chamber and take it off.

Turn the control knob to PILOT
The control valve is on the right side. Turn the knob to PILOT.

Push in and hold
Push the knob in and keep holding it.

Light the pilot
While holding the knob in, use the lighter in the pilot chamber until the pilot catches.

Replace the cover and turn it on
Put the pilot cover back on, turn the knob from PILOT to ON, and the heater will start up. Put the front panel back.
